The Phantom 4 Pro features an upgraded camera that is capable of shooting 4k footage at 60 fps at a bitrate of 100Mbps. The camera also features a 1-inch, 12-megapixel sensor for higher resolution and colour. In addition to the upgraded camera, the Phantom 4 Pro features a full 360 obstacle avoidance system so users will avoid objects in all directions. Flight Time has been increased to 30 minutes and the range now reaches a full 7 kilometres.
The Phantom 4 Pro's camera has been upgraded with a large 1-inch 20 megapixel CMOS sensor. The P4Pro is also the first DJI camera that has a mechanical shutter, to effectively eliminate rolling shutter when shooting fast moving subjects or when shooting at high speeds. The Phantom 4 Pro is capable of shooting H.264 4K video footage at 60 fps, or H.265 4K footage at 30 fps.
The Phantom 4 Pro has the ability to go between 2.4 Ghz and 5.8 Ghz for a stronger signal with less interference. The regular Phantom 4 Pro comes with a remote controller that is similar to the remote controller of the Phantom 4. The Phantom 4 Pro+ features the same aircraft but a remote controller with a built-in 5.5-inch display screen. The built-in screen is 2x brighter in sunlight so users can still view the footage they are shooting in bright environments. The screen also gives pilots added convenience and a remote that can last 4-5 hours.
Standard: The aircraft follows a route at a consistent speed with the camer following the direction of the flight.
Free: The drone will only move along its route when instructed. With this mode, the camera can fly in any direction during flight.
There are three types of ActivetTracking modes on the Phantom 4 Pro.
Trace: Follow behind or in front of the subject, avoiding obstacles automatically.
Profile: Fly alongside a subject to get profile shots
Spotlight: Kepp the camera trained on one subject while the aircraft flies almost anywhere.
With the Tap to Fly function users can tap on an object and then the drone will automatically fly in the direction you tapped.

The Phantom 4 Pro's Return to Home function has been updated to work to automatically choose the best route to return to home. The drone also records its route as it flies so that it will fly along the same path when returning to home to ensure a clear path back. The drone will also take a snapshot of the scene below its launch and compare the scene upon its return to ensure the most accurate landing possible. The Phantom 4 Pro will also intelligently determine whether the landing spot is void of any obstacles to ensure the safest landing possible.
In Gesture Mode, users can easily take a selfie without the need for the remote controller. The cameras advanced computer vision technology can enable the Phantom 4 Pro to take photos as the subject waves their arm when facing the camera. Once the subject waves their arm, a three-second countdown before the drone snaps a photo.
